Caffeine - Hout Bay

This unassuming spot serves up some decent food. I popped in for a quick lunch and ordered the chicken mayo, which was very tasty (I loved the addition of fresh, crunchy chopped onion to the mix). I was also super impressed by the mini side salad, which at most cafes is usually a damp splodge of lettuce and tomato. This one was full of colourful beetroot and carrot and drizzled with a delish vinaigrette. I ate the lot. Overall a lovely spot for a mid-shopping-spree refuel!

New owner and host, Paul, welcomes patrons and ensures that Caffeine Coffee Bistro remains a choice eatery for a hearty breakfast or lunch at Mainstream Mall. Well-presented dishes, good coffees and munchies.

Wonderful spot to break the shopping spree for some respite and charge up the caffeine levels. A variable menu offering enough goodies for a variety of palates, and you can play a game of chess on a large open air board as you work your way through the assorted menu!

...such a cute little coffee shop, we dropped by for something to drink and a snack... had a red cappuccino and a scone... fresh, delicious, tasty... Staff are lovely and friendly didnt stay for too long but will definitely be back...

Charmingly unpretentious and friendly service. The beef pie and gravy was home-made and delicious! Highly recommended
