Hororata Village Cafe

I can’t speak highly enough of this fabulous wee cafe. We were hankering for a pie on our travels from Christchurch to Terrace Downs and stopped in for a quick bite. The three of us all agreed these were the best pies we had ever tasted! In fact, they were so good we got 3 to take away as well! The staff were very friendly, and Jason even took the time to come and chat with us after we raved so much over his pies. He is a butcher who is passionate about what he does from the meat he selects, to how he cuts it, cooks it, and the flavours he combines. We are already planning our next trip back to Hororata Village Bar Cafe. “Jason for Pie Minister!”

Mum and I are travelling the South Island, and we couldn’t speak highly enough of the lovely food we had there today. We had the beef pie with mashed potato, peas and gravy, and it was absolutely amazing! We happened upon the cafe by chance, would definitely be going back if we’re ever down this way again! The cafe itself has a lovely ambiance as well.

Had the best pies ever We were bunch of Korean folks that visited this restaurant the other day. They have great hospitality and service for people. Love to go back sometime.

Not very often you find a good pub and country that has it all! Unreel staff and I totally unreal food! Would recommend them in a heart beat for a good meal A
