The manager was always polite, the staff friendly, and the food decent for a fast-food spot. However, since my favorite manager left, my recent experiences have been disappointing. The quality of the food and the waiting times have noticeably worsened. I used to overlook minor issues, but now they seem to be part of a troubling trend. Most recently, I waited 25 minutes for my meal, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. When my order finally arrived, some items appeared inferior and lacked freshness. I used to recommend this place without hesitation, but now I'm hesitant to spend my money and time here, as it no longer meets my standards. I almost considered giving it a rating of 2 stars.
Captain D's has changed the type of fish they use, and unfortunately, the quality has declined. It's disappointing to witness the downfall of what was once a great option! This seems to be a common trend among many fast-food chains. They begin with strong offerings, but then they switch to cheaper ingredients and hire less skilled staff in the kitchen.
I decided to forgo the drive-thru line and went inside, hoping for a quicker experience. Jasmine was at the counter, juggling orders from customers and the drive-thru, along with everything else, except for cooking. At one point, she even stepped into the kitchen to lend a hand, and we could hear her working hard back there. Although we ended up waiting longer than we expected, Jasmine handled everything like a pro, clearly shouldering most of the responsibilities herself. The other customers in the lobby recognized her dedication and admired how gracefully she managed the busy environment. It's evident that she deserves a salary that reflects the workload of three or more people. Jasmine, we see you, we appreciate your dedication, and we commend your incredible work ethic. You’re truly a star! And as always, the fish was outstanding!
The food was fresh and served hot, but the service was lacking. The young woman who took my order appeared uncertain and didn't manage it very well.

However, since my favorite manager left, I've noticed a decline in food quality and longer wait times during my visits. While I was willing to overlook the occasional issue, it has now become a frequent problem. Recently, I waited 25 minutes for my order, and when it arrived, the food looked unappealing and poorly prepared. As a loyal customer, I'm now hesitant to invest my time and money here again, as it no longer meets my expectations. I would rate it just under 2 stars.
