Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant absolutely lives up to its rating. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. One of the best things is that despite being extremely popular, the staff are pleasant, friendly, and attentive (unlike some hipster San Francisco restaurants). You have the option to order your dish at a spiciness level of x100, but even if you're Asian, it's best to stick to x10. Anything beyond x30 is already entering the realm of a spicy food challenge.
My wife and I had the best ramen we've ever tasted at this restaurant. I ordered the spicy tonkatsu with black garlic oil, and my wife had the black garlic ramen. Everything from the broth to the chashu was excellent. My wife inquired about stickers, but the owner, or someone who appeared to be the owner, replied, "No, but we have chopsticks!"
I recently tried some delicious ramen in Tokyo. I ordered the garlic tonkatsu ramen for 16.50, along with garlic gyoza and chashu quesadilla. The staff was friendly. While the ramen was decent, it was not particularly outstanding for the price (make sure to add an egg for 14.50 instead). The gyoza was alright, but the soy sauce was quite salty so be cautious with dipping. The quesadilla was the standout dish, with good flavor and a nice crunchy texture. Overall, this might not be my top choice for ramen, but it is a good spot if you're simply craving some ramen.
I recently visited Junpuu with a friend who is not vegan or vegetarian. They had a small selection of vegan and vegetarian options, but we were both satisfied and enjoyed our meal!
I highly recommend the vegan veggie tantanmen and tomato ramen at this restaurant. Both dishes were very delicious and perfect for a spice lover like myself, with a rating of 5/10. This review has been updated from my previous one on 2021-12-04.
