Bidra med feedbackCozy and casual restaurant in soho. I came to the brunch, had the avocado toast, it was okay, but not the best I tried. coffee is good. they have a beautiful outdoor terrace that is very relaxing and quiet. the personal was very attentive.
Nice place on Aberdeen Street with a casual atmosphere. Directly opposite a small park, so good to go with kids. They have a small chalk pillar for the kids to fool around and draw on. I liked the brunch type food, the other stuff wasn't all that great (eg quesadillas were bad). Will come back as it's an easy lunch with kids and will stick to the brunch type food.
Good food and great atmosphere. Portions are big and the selection was good, especially for being a vegetarian. My only concern was the service. There were only two tables occupied in the restaurant, one of them being us. The servers didn’t come up to check up on us once, didn’t clear our table, or refill our water. We paid our meal with a $1000 bill and was later told that it would not be accepted. Dinner would have been more enjoyable to have been approached with a warm smile from our server once in a while.
This once hyped restaurant in PMQ has lost some of its lustre over the past couple of years, probably understandingly so because the food standard certainly has fallen somewhat. The lunch menu being especially disappointing with a limited selection of mediocre dishes. Dinner is just better but still not outstanding.
They had plenty of vegetarian options, plus an area for the child to play, and a wall to scribble on. We sat outdoors as the weather was great. Beginning with a glass of red wine, we went on to try their hummus, vegetarian taco, mini samosas and eggplant parmesan. The hummus was good it's difficult to go wrong with it. The pita was warm, lightly toasted. The taco had a generous portion of vegetables, mushrooms and beans, but it was a bit much of oregano for my liking, but I understand that this wasn't an authentic Mexican restaurant, so not much expectations were there, to begin with. The mini samosas were quite interesting, with sun dried tomatoes and feta cheese. They looked super cute, and pale but were cooked perfectly. They didn't have french fries which the child wanted, so we went ahead with the roasted potates. Asking them to skip any spices meant it arriving with just salt tossed on it. The eggplant parmesan was served with a side of salad. And it was quite average. It may or may not have been fresh, but seemed like a frozen piece was heated for us. This was one of those entrees nothing bad about it, nothing great about it. The servers and the owner were all very nice and friendly. Overall, decent food, kid friendly with a nice outdoor setup.
