Portillo's Homewood

Great, authentic Chicago-style hotdogs. Good fries. The interior is a tad dark. When crowded, it can be chaotic when you're waiting for your order to be called. It can get noisy and hard to hear if your number is called. You'll have to stand and wait near the pickup counter. Many restaurants have moved to delivering to your table, something I wish Portillo's would do.

Ticket number 324! Ordered at 4:56pm inside the restaurant and proceeded to pickup counter. I watched every person who ordered before me and after me get their order and leave. By the way I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and small fry. After two refills of a fountain beverage and a insult from the guy who order was number 10th in line after me on his way out with his food. I decided to request a refund. The manager, after refunding me, insisted to still give me the food. To her surprise my order was nowhere in the production. This resturant literally wasted 30 good minutes of my life without compensation! I feel robbed, and hungry.
