Bidra med feedbackWe had the opportunity of sunshine on the back patio but above all, the halibut taco was amazing! The people were fabulous in helping us decide what to eat and they didn't lead us wrong. Take their suggestions if you cannot decide.
Has gluten free offerings, staff claimed clam chowder was gluten free, chili is gluten free, gluten free buns available, grilled halibut and shrimp tacos are both gluten free. However, they had no grilled halibut or clam chowder and their fries are cooked with all other fried offerings. Made for a disappointing visit.
Personally, my bacon Swiss burger was delicious. The chile cheese fries, not so much... Order at the window, delivereqd to the table was fast, but you had to bus your own table afterwards so the service issue really didn't apply. Seating limited. Yet, a tip was expected. Overall experience was good and not a bad place to eat.
It 's so much more than just a burger. I mean...that first bite. oh, what heaven that first bite is. The bun, like a sesame freckled breast of an angel, resting gently on the ketchup and mustard below, flavors mingling in a seductive pas de deux. And then...a pickle! The most playful little pickle! Then a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and a...a patty of ground beef so exquisite, swirling in your mouth, breaking apart, and combining again in a fugue of sweets and savor so delightful. This is no mere sandwich of grilled meat and toasted bread, Robin. This is God, speaking to us in food.
It's a great place to eat and the food is amazing, but being closed during the work week is ridiculous. Too many restaurants in Homer are closed Wed and Thu. Most the residents in this area work M-F and need a consistent place to eat.
