Marcello's - Hobart

The restaurant, Stipendiaten, is terrible! Despite reading some great reviews (most likely from people with refined palates), we decided to get takeout from here. What we had was decent, I'll give them that. If I wanted a grease fest, I would have entered a dad bod competition. The amount of cheese on my pizza was overwhelming, making it hard to taste any other ingredients. It felt like they were trying to get rid of excess cheese or using a low-quality cheese. Tone down the cheese! The excessive oil also detracted from the overall taste of the pizza. The only positive was the friendly service. The prices were ridiculous and I would have preferred a less greasy and cheesy pizza. Thank you, but I won't be returning.

This one was a winner! We ordered the Pollo Gourmet for take-away and we not disappointment. Will order again.

The pizzas were excellent particularly the salmon one. Service a bit disorganise but very obliging. Small wine list undergoing some changes.

Marcello's regularly deliver big orders for my meetings in central Hobart . They deliver prompt midweek and most rave about the gourmet and regular options, with very few left overs. Exceeds all my expectations every time . Thank you Scott and the team.

I have a food allergy to lactose so when I learnt that Marcello's accommodate people with food allergies, I was so excited with my discovery as I haven't had a pizza in over years. So I rang up to make an order and a...lady answered the phone and was so rude she would hardly answer my questions and I asked if they would deliver to Goodwood and she rudely said no to me... I'm like under mins away from Hobart so it's not a huge drive. she was no help at all and just really didn't want to help me out at all. So very disheartened with Marcello's sevice it has put me off wanting to go in and try their pizzas if the staff are this rude to customers.
