Bidra med feedbackExcellent food, service, atmosphere and back story. Highly recommend the prawns in tamarind sauce. If you want local cuisine with good ambience, this place is perfect. Much better than overpriced overrated places like Ngon Villa. We enjoyed all our dishes and were quite happy with the service. The prices are higher than other local spots but extremely reasonable in dollars if you consider service, location and ambience.
I would definitely recommend this Vietnamese restaurant owned and run by humanist Mr Shirai, if you look for a nice place for dinner in central Saigon. Every dishes I took tasted great. Price was ultra reasonable. Do not forget to try fabulous fried spring roll and caramel pudding.
Service is excellent. Seems to attract lots of Japanese crowd, with Japanese translations on the menu. The manager and male waiter could both speak Japanese, much to the amazement of some Japanese tourists! They had a slight issue with their electricity but came to each table to offer their apologies really brilliant service! Set meals to share for lunch are good value for money, 150,000vnd per pax and upwards.
Wonderful food and service! We did their set lunch menu and assorted spring roll starter. I ordered the stir fried beef w spicy sate and my husband had the stir fried seafood w mixed vegetables and it was amazing! So much food and everything was delicious...and so reasonably priced (I believe everything, including two beers for my husband a land a tea for me was $30).
