The ambience was one of fine dining without being stuffy thanks in part to the greeting upon arrival and the excellent service by Thaddeus. He was very knowledgeable about the differing menu options and kept a fun banter going with us. My snapper with smoked pepper jelly was great as was my better half 's blackened red fish. Topping the night off was scrumptious lemon cheese cake with blackberry and strawberry garnish. Pricing was just above $125.00 for the two of us. Parking: Parking was quite tight when we visited.
First advise, reserve for no later than 6:30. 7 pm is considered 2nd wave and entrees run out quickly in the evening. 2nd, don't do a special request. They were out of the fish we wanted so I requested grouper without the nut crusting. A beautiful thick piece was bought to table crusted with nuts. I cut into it and it was dry and overcooked. We asked for it to be remade without crust and less well done. A thin filet slice was brought and it tasted like I swallowed a glass of salt water. The manager was not happy with the fact I returned the first dish and I didn't like the remaining fish options. I ended up ordering flounder. It was absolutely the worst I have ever eaten, soggy, mushy, flavorless. The waitress was wonderful. The desert selections were also depleated. The strawberry peach cobbler was no better than the fish, heavy in cloves, and peaches were hard. We were given spoons which were difficult to cut the hard peaches. The filet was marvelous.The manager and hostess treat customers as though the customers are privileged to be allowed in the restaurant.
WOW, this place is phenomenal!! I highly recommend this place and the staff was simply lovely and a pure pleasure to be around!! Bravo!!
Favorite restaurant in Hilton Head, never experiencing a less than premium meal. Perfectly prepared entrees. Love the pre-meal assortment of freshly baked bread. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
Love this place. We visited for lunch...looking forward to going back for dinner. We had the Bistro Burger and the Flounder Sauteed Meuniere...Caramel Cake for dessert. Each was outstanding, as was the chocolate martini. Highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
