Lone Star Nz - Hillcrest New Zealand

Went for lunch just after opening, we were the first customers of the day. Service was fast and courteous. We chose a big plate with 8 pork ribs and a Lone Star salad of the day, which was enough for 2 adults and 3 young kids. The meat was very tender, juicy and deliciously prepared. Price is reasonably expected with this level of venue and service provided. Worth coming!

Wow this is my favourite Lone Star, friendly service and the drinks and food came fast, all was fresh and so tasty as always. Lasso of hog for me as always and starved myself for the day so I could have the super tender ribs for starter. The wife always has Praw. Star for a main. I couple cocktails for the wife and as sober driver I sampled some amazing mocktails. Thanks for your great food and smiles

Absolutely FANTASTIC as usual.. warm hearted staff, warm hearty fire and fabulous food!!! We enjoyed the nachos and ribs and burgers and honkey tonk chicken cooked to perfection as usual. Thanks one and all! : xxx Again enjoyed the best most reliable meal.. cannot agree with lower scores who say its outdated this place is classic which never goes out of style and the coleslaw is a highlight for me.. we went this time for our anniversary and keep coming back year after year, and multiple branches, 4 in total around the country.. Christchurch before the quake.. Tauranga, Taupo and Hamilton.. for private functions or dates, we know we can trust the staff to deliver a superb meal and atmosphere thats a lil special n reminiscent n rustic.. We LOVE IT!

Lovely meal. Decent size. Dessert was yum.. Service was on point. The only thing wrong, was it was so hot, the air conditioning was not going. We sat at near back.
