Nice small restaurant with decent Chinese Dong Bei food.
Delicious, authentic north/northeastern Chinese food. Will definitely be
**Lamb/Beef Skewers: 5/5** These skewers were amazing! They were probably the most authentic skewers I've ever had in the U.S. Each skewer was packed with meat, perfectly seasoned, and grilled just right. We couldn’t stop talking about how delicious they were throughout our meal! **Dongjia Spicy Hotpot: 5/5** We expected a soup-style hot pot, but this dry hotpot dish was delightful. It featured a mix of meat and vegetables piled into one pot. While it was on the saltier side, the mala flavor stood out and complemented the skewers nicely. **Tasty Pork Appetizer: 3/5** This dish turned out to be deep-fried pork coated and served with a side of dried spices for dipping. We ordered it on a whim without knowing what to expect, and it didn’t quite measure up to the first two dishes. The quality wasn’t bad, but it was less impressive by comparison. That said, they gave a generous portion, so we took some home. We noticed that every table around us had ordered this dish, so after looking up reviews, we discovered it’s called guobaorou. We’ll definitely add that to our list for our next visit! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and can’t wait to return to try more dishes!
It was my first and definitely my last visit to this restaurant. I would sum up my dining experience in three words: tiny portions, unappetizing, and overpriced.
