Bidra med feedbackAfter a long day of travel and wanting sustenance of a vegan variety, my daughter found this site listed and off we went. It was an amazing little restaurant down an alley and we sat outside in the nippy weather served by the charming staff. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious jack fruit with a layer of nori coated in crumbs and fried perfectly. My daughter had the lasanga and though we were warned not to get more...we did...and couldn 't eat it all. We would gladly returne but were told that they were losing their chef and would close. I saw their site still listed here so decided to post a review hoping that others can and will enjoy this restaurant.
The service was exceptional, the choices were awesome, I really enjoyed my no-tuna toastie. Great coffee and lovely setting for a cafe. As I ate too much I got the home made carrot cake to go, and that was also delicious!
Its not been the easiest thing to have a vegan meal whilst on tbe NC500 but that was remedied by a trip to the Alleycat. The gentlemen who served us was lovely and food came readily. Too much milkshake was made so my daughter got a top up. Lovely littke cafe.
Small cafe, rather basic, but nice to have a fully vegan menu to choose from. I was expecting great things having read some of the reviews, but I wasn 't terribly impressed. The soup was rather watery, and the vegan haggis in a toastie was a bit bland. Cheap and cheerful, fine for a quick lunch stop.
Great service in this cosy quirky gem of a vegan cafe. The hosts were so welcoming and informative . We had vegan Mac n cheese and a delicious winter salad with gorgeous home made hummus. Lovely oat milk latte and two American coffees to accompany our meal. We took home three vegan cakes for takeaway treats and they were mmmmmmmm delicious. It was good value and so friendly…we look forward to returning and next time playing a board game or two….
