Bidra med feedbackMy experience at Caffe Nero in Scotland was disappointing. While on holiday in this lovely country, I encountered a rude staff member who scolded me for not following the queue correctly while ordering a Chai latte. Despite being defended by a fellow customer, the staff member continued to treat me disrespectfully, even going as far as to criticize me for not knowing there was only one checkout open. The interaction concluded with the staff member patronizingly explaining the value of a one pound coin to me and offering no apology for her behavior. When asked about obtaining a member card, I declined, stating that I would not be returning to the establishment. Despite asking if she was tired or having a bad day, the staff member's admission did not come with an apology. Overall, my experience at Caffe Nero was tarnished by this negative encounter.
This restaurant was my go-to spot on a rainy, cold day. The black Americano I ordered was hot, delicious, and served by friendly staff. It was quite busy so some tables needed to be cleared, which is the reason for my 4-star rating.
Nero is my favorite coffee spot in Inverness, but after today's experience, I'm not sure if I'll be returning. I placed my order with a boy who then promptly left the shop with his jacket on. I waited for 5 minutes before anyone asked if I had received my coffees. When I explained that I hadn't, a girl apologized and said she didn't know where the boy had gone. He eventually returned with drinks from another shop that he had left to retrieve for himself and another barista. When I finally received my coffees, I almost vomited as the cream was off. I complained, only to be told that there were no dates on the squirty cream, so they couldn't be sure if it was actually off. The staff seemed more interested in chatting and joking with each other, with their backs turned to the packed shop full of customers. An adult presence behind the counter is definitely needed here.
Popped into cafe Nero on the High St. Ordered my coffee when one of the staff walked in to show off his chewed neck to all who wanted to see, for his colleagues to use expletives and fowl language praising his obvious exploits!! The staff in here need to be taught how to conduct themselves in front of customers.
Nice ambience but the hot chocolate should come un- sweetened as its far too sweet and comes like that. Unpleasantly sweet and I was told if I wanted sugar there was sachets to help myself to! In Italy they do the best hot chocolate and it comes unsweetened so you can add your own to your own preference. Cafe Neros one is yuk.
