Bidra med feedbackIf you're a fan of mofongo, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. This restaurant clearly doesn't know how to prepare it properly. What they served me was more like a plantain puree made with almost ripe plantains. I did order it with chicharrones, but they only added 3 or 4 small pieces on top. The amount of mofongo was flat, barely reaching the edge of the pilón, unlike other places where it typically overflows. I paid the same price as I would at other restaurants, where leftovers are common enough to require a takeout container, but I finished my plate and was still left hungry.
The prices are quite reasonable, with the most expensive dish being just over $20 (a lobster dish). The Puerto Rican sample plate is fantastic and gives you a great taste of this culinary journey. However, there are many other delicious traditional items not included on the platter that you should definitely consider adding to your order. Don’t miss out on this place—it’s perfect for a lovely Sunday family lunch. On the Sunday I visited, they even had a talented musician playing soft Caribbean instrumental music. If you’re tired of Cuban food, this is a spot you simply cannot overlook.
I love this place but their customer service is trash. The food is good and well priced for the portion you get. When it comes to ordering food for the holidays these people are so rude! I've had people hang up on me and tell me to call back later. OneChristmas I even ended up without food because of them consistently telling me to call later. Just this week I have been callingto place an order and I was told twice to call back later. I'll just take my business elsewhere but as a business in the foodindustry you have to do better. I used to go often and stopped because of their rudeness.
I love going here when I visit my family. This place has great food and service. The dishes are authentic and tasty. I gave 4 stars because the alcapurria was a little burnt and the oxtail needed a little more seasoning. I will definitely go back.
Got the mofongo with garlic chicken so delicious, but it seems as if my mofongo has bacon in it which I don?t eat pork so I had no choice but to eat it since it was in there.. wish there was an option to opt out of the bacon like how I usually have it atother location including in PR but it was delicious! The coconut pudding was not my type of dessert. It was toooooo sugary forme. But I will dine here again.
