Bidra med feedbackIf you're a fan of mofongo, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. This restaurant clearly doesn't know how to prepare it properly. What they served me was more like a plantain puree made with almost ripe plantains. I did order it with chicharrones, but they only added 3 or 4 small pieces on top. The amount of mofongo was flat, barely reaching the edge of the pilón, unlike other places where it typically overflows. I paid the same price as I would at other restaurants, where leftovers are common enough to require a takeout container, but I finished my plate and was still left hungry.
The prices are quite reasonable, with the most expensive dish being just over $20 (a lobster dish). The Puerto Rican sample plate is fantastic and gives you a great taste of this culinary journey. However, there are many other delicious traditional items not included on the platter that you should definitely consider adding to your order. Don’t miss out on this place—it’s perfect for a lovely Sunday family lunch. On the Sunday I visited, they even had a talented musician playing soft Caribbean instrumental music. If you’re tired of Cuban food, this is a spot you simply cannot overlook.
