Bidra med feedbackFirst order from this chain and very unsatisfactory. I ordered online and came when the food was ready, it wasn't. The two employees seemed upset that we were even there. My 11-year-old even made a comment on her lack of customer service when we left. Pluses, the garlic toom sauce is very similar to Zankou?s in LA and the pickled bean was also similar, the chicken kebab and lettuce were delicious, but the hummus was tasteless and the pita bread was thin and did not seem fresh. Half the chicken was limp and tasteless. So disappointed when I hoped this would be our replacement for Zankou. Not even close?
Delicious Mediterranean food, paninis, pitas, soups, salad and sides. I had the Chicken Panini and the potato based Batata. Both were awesome and they gave me some spicy red sauce that really rocked the Batata. My wife had the Falafel Plate and Lentil Soup and enjoyed both. We will definitely go back again.
I was sad, a new, two star rating for the Green Valley location, as I first LOVED the food (eat and quality) and was a regular. The last couple of times I had gone, my disappointment had been consolidated. I wanted to give him the advantage of doubt, but every time the food was not fresh or of good quality. I don't know if it was just me, but the Tahini seemed to taste rancid/spoiled with every separate time that I had tried it at the end. They had begun to forget the grilled tomatoes and paprika in rice for the Shawarma dish, and the falafel in my veggie plate would be more rock-resistant and almost impossible to cut. The presentation no longer seemed to be important - also the taste/temperature of meals as they/could. I will say that the staff were always friendly with me and would try for/every food that they were out. I liked that. This review is only about the feeling sad as if the food went down the hill, and I unfortunately do not intend to return.
Very disappointed. Read reviews and had really high hopes for this restaurant, it was not disappointing. To the green valley. The place was clean, that was just the pro. I have swarmries and she has a vegie shwarma plate. It looks good, but it was far away. Place was completely empty, now I know why. We were on Saturday at 2:00. Shwarma Plate: Vegetables were old and not fresh. Salad dressing was sour and oily. Falafel was dense, seemed frozen and microwave, absolutely not fresh or made to order. Dolmas were a few days old, grape developers were chewing and unusable. Quinoa Salat was fine, hummus seemed old and was without taste. They forgot the Pita, went back to get her, and they didn't ask. Half of it ended before it stops. Shwarma fries with everything: thick cut steakfries were warm, but not crispy at all, they seemed microwaved. Were not fresh and were not hand-cut, frozeb all the way. Microwave frozen pommes, delicious. An overwhelming amount of hot sauce, little if any tahini sauce. The tomatoes have been in the fridge for a while. Great proportion of meat, but a strange taste and chewing consistency. Stop eating halfway. Soda machine had only one working **** (sierra mist), ice tea was out of service. Water worked. Staff seemed to hate life. Nothing accused of the woman who took our order seemed like she hated to be there in both cases when she took our order and gave us our food. The second employee came back from lunch when we eat face mask around his chin. While he was behind the counter, he worked with food, this mask never came to cover any part of his mouth or nose. Again, I had high expectations, but this place really fell on service, food quality and execution. I usually give the place the advantage of doubt, but this facility was simply bad.
Update: That used to be my favorite restaurant. I'm degrading my five stars to a star now. I decided to eat this Bok Bok yesterday with my family. We never come back to this restaurant. I asked the guy behind the counter why I didn't get Pita with my Veggie plate. He said the Veggie record didn't come with a Pita. So I had to eat my hummus without Pita. Who serves hummus without pita! If you also order the Veggie Plate, do not interfere with this place. What a joke. It's a shame, because that used to be a great restaurant. Original review: It looks like a fast food restaurant. You order your food and bring it to your table when they call you. But if you bite into food, pure heaven. I ate here two days in a row. The chicken was a huge part that will really fill you. My darling is the Shawarma. The spices on the Shawarma are on another level of bliss. It reminded me of a tasteful desert. It's not as full as the chicken, but I'll always order it. I have eaten many Mediterranean restaurants, but they are often disappointed because I look for this certain Lebanese taste. Most Americans are happy with something that only sees the part, but Bok Bok delivers high-end cuisine. My mouth feels like it's really in a vacation abroad.
