Udon noodles with shrimp was terrific. Not spicy at all, but luckily they have some very nice chilli sauce that you can add to your plate.
Tried black pepper beef and eggplant with tofu, both were rich, strong taste and delicious. Dumpling is great too. Service is normal. Popular place during weekend lunch.
Best restaurant to savor Sichuan food in Helsinki. The food is great, price is moderate and the service is fast. Three times had dinner at Mei Lin and always satisfied for the food and services.
I have mixed comments regarding this place. The dumplings were the best among the three dishes we ordered. Unfortunately, the place doesn’t specialize in dumplings. The pot of fillet fish was in the mid-rank. It looked spicy but in reality it tasted milder. The fish could have been firmer in my opinion. Its texture was a bit strange but still fine. Keep in mind that the pot’s portion is huge even for two people, so choose wisely when ordering. The worst dish is the noodle dish. It was my bad that I didn’t read the description carefully, so I was under the impression that it was a soup. When the dish came out, it looked like a bolognese without the tomato sauce. Also, that dish had some peanut butter in the sauce and overall it was rather salty. My friend said that the style of cooking in this place is rather similar to that of the Northen side of China, so quite oily.
