Overland Express - Helena

My son and I enjoyed a pleasant dinner at this restaurant one evening while I was in Helena for meetings. We both decided to order burgers, and we found them to be delicious and full of flavor. The service was decent, though not exceptional.

I have always loved eating at this restaurant in Helena, but today's experience was disappointing. I'm not sure what happened, but the food was terrible today.

The restaurant boasts a charming atmosphere, but sadly, the food did not meet our expectations. I ordered the dragon shrimp and received just six large shrimp that were drenched in sauce, served alongside a handful of sautéed bell peppers. Considering the price, it wasn't worth it; we could have easily prepared something much better at home. My husband ordered a 12-ounce steak, but the waitress mistakenly brought him a 20-ounce one instead. He said it was decent but far from exceptional. While the service was friendly, we chose not to return, as we felt the meal did not justify the high prices for such average food.

It had been quite a few years since our last visit, but the food was amazing! The service was excellent as well. We will definitely return!
