Metro Taquero - Hayward

Shout out to the Mexican restaurant in the eastern bay! Metro is one of the best places to get burritos. I make sure to stop by whenever I can. Their tortas and tacos are also fantastic! There's a parking garage next to the restaurant, as well as street parking. Both are free. The service is great, and there are plenty of tables and seats available for dining.

I ordered tamales and burritos, but they didn't compare to what I've had at other places. Additionally, they charge extra for sour cream and other sauces!

Nope! It's obvious they don't know how to properly fold a burrito. When I think of a burrito, I imagine layering the ingredients starting with beans, then rice, followed by guacamole and sour cream, and topping it off with carne asada. This makes me think that their cooks might be inexperienced and more focused on having a good time rather than preparing quality food.

The food is delicious, but the wait for even a simple order is incredibly long. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, so that's not the issue. While I don't have any complaints about the food itself, I would suggest considering a return to A Street, where the service is much quicker and the quality is better. Alternatively, you might want to try El Gordo on your way to the tacos.

I was looking for my keys and thought I might have left them at the restaurant where I had a burrito earlier. When I went to check, I saw the staff cleaning and enjoying their music. However, when I tapped on the window and asked them to open the door, they completely ignored me. I will never go back, and I will make sure to warn others about this awful service.
