Hickok's Steakhouse - Hays

We have eaten here twice during our travels in Kansas. The first time the food and service were excellent. The food was seasoned great. The fried mushrooms are the best. We came back a second time a few months later. The service was still excellent, but the food was not seasoned as well as the first time we visited. The fried mushrooms were still tasty. We will stop here again if in the area, at least for the mushrooms, and to try something new on the menu.

Had a ribeye and it was a great steak for the price! Even better, was my waitress Halley, who was and is a very precious person! It was a great dining experience from a very classy restaurant!

Excellent food, excellent service, and great prices! We were traveling through and stopped here, hoping for a quick but homestyle meal, we were not disappointed! We had family from Colorado and Oklahoma meet in Hayes Kansas. We wanted a good meal and since there were 15 of us, at 4 pm we called Hickoks to make reservations for 7 pm. They chose the time and we agreed knowing that we had so many people. We get there at 6:45pm and we were told to wait.
