Mo Better Burgers South Bay - Hawthorne

This is one of my favorite Burger shops in Los Angeles, it is black owned, the meat is hormone-free and fed grass. I recommend Turkey Burger, literally the best and cheap Turkey Burger in the city. I usually call in my order and then you come to pick it up because it is faster, everything is hand pressed and made to order so, it is worth a trip here. The picture below is the beef burger with beef bacon, which is good, but Turkey Burger is great.

This little burger joint is fantastic! As soon as you step inside, you can smell the burgers sizzling on the grill, and the friendly staff greets you with a warm hello. The quality of the burgers is great, and the fries are so delicious that they really stand out among the best burger spots. I would happily drive about 4 or 5 miles just to enjoy a meal here!

My wife and I visited 'Mo Better Burgers' this afternoon, and it was a delightful surprise! The place looks a bit obscure from the outside, and the neighborhood isn't the most upscale, but I can honestly say that my cheeseburger and fries were among the best I've ever had. The 5-ounce, clearly homemade patty was cooked to perfection, and the bun was substantial without being too much. My burger came with mayo, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese, and it was juicy but not overly so. My wife tried the turkey burger and was equally pleased. The fries were hot and abundant, also homemade, and sprinkled with some pepper to add a nice touch that set them apart from regular salted fries. Our server, Nichole, was friendly, pleasant, and very patient, clearly enjoying her job. Parking was a bit tight, and currently, it's only a take-out option, but if you're in the Hawthorne Airport area and craving a big burger, this is the place to go!

I would prefer to make my own burger at home. The ground beef was overcooked and turned into a charred mess. For $11.79, the meat was burned and it was very unappetizing. This was simply not acceptable.

Simple menu, GREAT customer service and perfectly cooked burgers. The young lady who took my order a few minutes ago was so professional friendly. Great black-owned establishment!
