Really meaty cad. good size part on chips. delicious mushy bases. a large cod and a large chips exactly right for 2 of us.

I stopped here with my crew mate while I was on our break at work, as I had heard really good reviews of it - wow! it was the best fish chips we ever had. many thanks to the chef who was very generous to us, it was very appreciated. As a living in carer I can not leave my customers at all alone, but she loves fish and chips, so I command from the hi-tide, because not only her eating is extremely good, make sure that it is always hot and ready when I go and collect.

I have eaten Hightide for over 30 years. Everything is fresh and prepared from high quality ingredients! The chips are crisp and the frying oil used is clean and the more expensive kind. The fish tastes as good as it would down in Hastings, fresh from a beach launch trawler! Everything is prepared in a traditional English way and the owners/staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Dined in the restaurant earlier and it was a superb experience 5/5. Great food,great hospitality!
