Big thanks to Dani, the brilliant Deputy General Manager, chefs Sam and Tom and the whole team, including Makenzie, Jak, Maisy and many more. The vegan meats, sensational cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire's and roasties served with lots of veg and all the trimmings are outstanding. The food is beautifully cooked, and the kind and attentive service is second to none.

The scallops were undercooked, the lamb was greasy and cold, and they sneakily charged us £4.75 for a small bottle of water. The outdated stereo in the corner played cheesy music, making the atmosphere feel cheap. While the outdoor seating was nice, it was first come, first served, and despite making a reservation, we were seated inside. Overall, the food was not worth the price and was disappointing. Others we spoke to had similar experiences. Despite the attractive exterior, the interior was disappointing and the food was even worse. Avoid this restaurant at all costs.
Due to Covid restrictions, only outdoor dining was available. Unfortunately, the outdoor area was not properly set up for this service, but luckily it did not rain. The umbrellas over the tables were too small, and the patio and gardens looked neglected. Overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel or hosting an event there.
