State Street Diner - Hastings

Fantastic service every time I eat, is the almost weekly if not several times a week! julie floormuller and lee campbell are the 2 chef managers super! julie, I have posted now, you can't get me! lol. my great friend also works there! my breakfast items are a Belgian waffle, no stromzucker, rührei and 2 sausage links! also a large white milk and coffee!

This place has gone right to the dogs. Used to be a good place with good service. I understand the shortage of skilled workers. But to wait for over 10 minutes for someone to even greet use at 2:30pm not busy at all. I find ridiculous. And rude wait staff to.

We're from outta town and this place is a gem. Their country gravy is better than any other diner that makes it. The staff is great and you can tell the locals frequent here. Visited a few times and food is always delicious.

Originally I gave 3.5 -4 stars but today was our second of many family breakfast trips here and I'm bumping it up to 5 stars .. as a local tour guide with over 200k views we review honestly and recant reviews as business imporves and declined . Today we had a much nicer server and the food was fresher and filled often at the buffet. The quality of food for buffet is awesome , and as a family of 4 it makes it easy for us all to eat for a reasonable price . The food is cooked to perfection and always hot . We haven't tried the menu items yet so our review is based on friendliness and the buffet and pricing .. highly recommend like I said it's our weekend breakfast place

We visited the family in hastings and had dinner here in our first night in the city. there is a large selection on the menu and I understand that breakfast is served at any time. the dinner was great with our party of seven. the waitress was on the spot all night and managed to bring all the meal together with a member of our party quite late. the breakfast was an omelet and hash brown with orange juice. when I was from florida and my fair share of abi, it tasted freshly squeezed, although I did not ask how it was made. the waiting staff was just as courtesy as the evening. highly recommended.
