Mel's At 22 - Hartwick Seminary

My husband and I usually come to dine in at Mel's about once a year, and have always loved it. But today you guys really let me down. I just had a colonoscopy, so I haven't been able to eat any solid food for three days now. I have been looking forward to having a square meal for a week and a half. My husband and I got some burgers. We took them to Council Rock to have a picnic. I took one bite out of my black and blue burger, and it was totally dry. No mayo at all, no mustard, no ketchup, no sauce of any kind on the burger or in the bag so now we have to go home so we can have condiments you guys ruined our picnic!! Also, my husband went in to pick up the burgers, and he said that your restaurant is filthy. If that's the entrance, we wonder what your kitchen must look like! It never used to be like this! Mel's used to be a spic and span joint that was run with dignity, and represented the local community well. After today, we're pretty sure we're never going to eat in, or order take out from your restaurant ever again.

Food is always great. Service is always great and accommodating. Atmosphere is inviting and enjoyable, though entrance and navigation through the restaurant is a bit awkward at times, especially when it’s packed.

Go to place with great service and food...had the Dbl Dirty martinis and Blk n Blu burger very good with Pesto fries. Very nice people from the hostess to the server

There was no food selection a basic hamburger cost 14 dollars and glass of tea made with tea mix was four dollars and the entire restaurant felt like a wake after a funeral. I would definitely not recommend it to anyone who has any kind of taste buds left.

Me and my wife went here for dinner and we had a great time. I had the Bolognese, and it was perfect. My wife had the jerk chicken and jollof rice and it tasted great. Especially the chicken itself and the fried plantain. Parking: Parking is free after 6pm
