Spice Venue - Hartford

I ordered plain pratha but they gave me layered pratha instead. The pani puri was disgusting. It was the worst dining experience.

I recently ordered Uthappam from Spice Venue along with other dishes. I have been ordering from this restaurant out of necessity, as there are not many options for Indian food nearby. While I do acknowledge that they have a few good items on their menu, I have noticed inconsistencies in their preparation. However, today I received a dosa instead of the Uthappam that I ordered. When I called to address the issue, a person named Bharani was rude and unapologetic, stating that this is how their chef prepares it and if I don't like it, I should stop ordering from them. This lack of consideration for the customer speaks volumes about the restaurant. This is not the first time they have made mistakes with my order, but today I felt the need to speak up. The attitude of the restaurant is disgusting, as they seem to care very little about the customer experience. I have always been patient due to the pandemic, but today I had enough. I had to confront them about their dishonesty and ask them to stop misleading customers with false information.

Really rude people and take forever just to come out and help you. They won't even let you use the bathroom. I come here all the time to deliver orders and pick up orders, and they are so bothered that I use the restroom that they lock it. I went there one time and some guys was screaming expletives. Not a good vibe. Super ghetto. Do not come here!

Authentic Indian cuisine is very good, we really enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is somewhat strong, institutional but the food is delicious, so it is good. Great to get out of here.
