I have definitely seen this business crumble, perhaps due to a change of management after not seeing the usual regular happy faces I used to. Staff clearly aren’t happy there and if you listen close enough when sat in, you will hear the new senior staff speak to their staff with such disrespect. Food has gone downhill, used to be the best by far in harrogate, now I wouldn’t feed it to my worst enemy. If you want soggy waffles and undercooked cookie dough, then this is the best place for you! Not to mention the serious lack of hygiene and food safety. As for the staff, most are very polite and give good service, credits to them for working in such an underperforming and most likely underpaying environment! Shame really to see what was such a successful place fall to the ground, don’t see it being there much longer!
AVOID simple hygiene not adhered too. Coffee brought over to me fingers all over the cup when asked not to do that the waitress raised her eyes at me and gave me attitude. She complained about me to the manager who then came over and defended her and said she was upset. Manager gave me an apology but did not come over very sincere her staff was defended and did not want to see that hygiene procedures had been broken. As a manager she was very rude not professional in any way and no customer service.
Gave a straightforward order which took forever to arrive, when it did it was wrong. Sent in back. 15 minute later order returned, seemed to be the same food as order was wrong again. Staff seemed clueless and cared little about mix up. There was no control of staff who did not seem to have any idea about how to process simple orders. The only other couple in with us didn't receive their order. Staff only realised they hadn't produced their order when they were closing the place and the unfortunate couple where sat there waiting. It was a joke and a terrible end to an evening. Would not recommend to anyone.
Ordered dessert to go after deciding the vibe was too weird to eat in. The food was s**t but it was incredibly entertaining to watch the staff flap around the kitchen.
My daughter ordered four desserts online, and when she received a text saying the order was ready to be picked up, I drove her to the restaurant to collect it. However, when we arrived, they had just started preparing the order, causing us to wait for 20 minutes. I found it frustrating that they notified us the order was ready when they had not even started making it. When we finally got home, we realized the order was incorrect and the food was cold. I called to complain and was offered a free replacement order if I placed the same order again. However, when I tried to claim the free order ten days later, the restaurant informed me that they were now under new management and could not honor the offer.
