Mexicasa - Harrisburg

We like Mexicasa. The food is good and the servers and the decor are very nice. But it seems to be a little language barrier, as our order is often wrong. Even if we order online, the order comes wrong. Update 12/3/22: Our order was wrong again yesterday. We ate and waited almost two hours to get the order right. I'm not exaggerating. When we got our food, it was lukewarm (including our cheese dipping). Your food is good! You have to solve the problems.

I usually don't share negative reviews because I understand that companies might have a night. But this is our 3rd visit to Mexicasa over several months and each visit has gradually worsened. The service was terrible. We had to ask for funeral three times before my husband got up to find himself. When our food came out, it was soggy, cold and subpar. I ordered a taco salad with chicken and there was hardly any chicken, the taco bowl sat in water, which was soggy, and the little chicken in the salad was cold. Our children ordered Burritos who came out after our meals and were cold. When it was time to get the check, we couldn't find our server. At check-out, we have overheard others waiting for check-outs that were not satisfied with the service or food. I never post negative reviews... but there's a point when a company has to make changes or it won't survive.

Extremely disappointed. The food itself was only warm enough to eat, including the (watery) Queso we had to send back to be warmed up... essentially cold after serving. Quantities were actually decent, but zero taste was all BLAND... and did I mention cold? The free salsa was as warm as the queso as watery you could not immerse a chip in it without making a mess on the table. This place is NOT worth the cost, especially if you consider that they charge you extra for payment with a card.

Tonight visited in the evening from 11/17/2022 After a decade do not come to MexiCasa. Unfortunately, the food was as disappointing as ever. Over 20 years in the industry itself. I'm very critical of every institution I'm visiting. So we start. The food was only terribly slandered and inspiring. The rice was over boiled and muddy. The vegetables were boiled and crisp. Everything while it is lacking taste. Arroz con pollo, and all meats and vegetables were pale and lacked least of caramelization. was tasteless and beyond the proportions away. Way to many vegetables and way to much mushy rice. The guacamole was decent, but was spicier than all other salsa included. Was so spicy caught my daughter from the guard and made her cry because she didn't expect any spices at all, touched her eye and burned it. I could literally go to this kitchen and make better Mexican cuisine. I never cooked mexicanically professionally. I need so much work.

I like this place the food and service were great during our previous lunch dine-ins at this place. But dine in experience on Saturday night was bit different. Food looked like it was burnt sitting under light for a while and desert came out undercooked. or under cooked. Food quantity was less compared to lunch. Mini tacos came out with nothing but tortilla and meat, big disappointment and price point was way off. Chicken fajitas came with 4 small thin slices of chicken. Disappointed with this visit but will try again.
