The Canal House Cafe - Harpers Ferry

This restaurant is fantastic and takes COVID-19 precautions seriously with true contactless service. The food was superb and our server was incredibly kind and attentive. The outdoor seating area was lovely, though only part of it is covered in case of rain. We will definitely come back to Harpers Ferry in the future.

I had a fantastic dining experience with my son al fresco. He had been here before and suggested it. I ordered the blue cheeseburger and he had the salmon with Risotto. Both dishes were amazing and cooked to perfection. The side salad was also tasty, fresh, and vibrant. The contactless and safe service was excellent, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

The Canal House is amazing! They not only offer the best service, but also have incredible food. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, making for a wonderful dining experience. Without a doubt, it is the best restaurant in town. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Nice food, inside or outside. The atmosphere is great. Inside is a beautiful place for small groups and cozy conversations. Outside there is a terrace option and a very cool bench/bar style picnic area under a live edge gazebo. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The food was good. This was our first time here, but I can recommend the tomato curry soup and the crushed chicken sleds for appetizers and the veggie wrap and steak fajita quesadilla. Big thumb over everyone. We'll be back. Can't wait until wine comes in July!!

The Canal House Cafe has become a regular stop with every visit to Harper’s Ferry. Not only a beautiful place, the people working here are friendly, the food and drinks are phenomenal, and even during COVID times they have an incredibly cute, tree-shaded yard to sit and enjoy your meal in. This is also a walk down the hill to the historic center of Harper’s Ferry, (where parking is far more scarce! and on the walk there are plenty of additional cute shops, stops, and history, which only add to the charm and richness of your visit! They also do have vegan and vegetarian options for anyone looking for plant-based options.
