The Lau Lau was delicious! It consisted of pork and seaweed wrapped in a banana leaf, which I found to be much tastier than the traditional Kalua pork and cabbage. The dish had a lot of flavor and the price of $14 seemed reasonable. It also came with macaroni salad, although it had too much mayonnaise for my taste. The meal was completed with a delightful taro dessert. Additionally, I tried the BBQ pulled pork sandwich which, although small with not much pork, tasted good. The sandwich was served on a hamburger bun, which was a bit too bready for my liking. However, at the price of only 8 dollars, it was still a decent option. Overall, the only disappointment was...
We ordered #2 with rice and #4 with rice and poi. The local BBQ pulled pork was delicious, as were the cucumber and watermelon juice. Everything was yummy!
We tried the Mango tango smoothie. Taste was fine. It was heavy and not super sweet. The taro cake was a different experience for me. Its sticky and heavy as well.
I love taro! They had a couple cool taro dishes available like a taro burger. However, I wanted to try some Kauai pork and got the sandwich, #6. We had 5 people order various items and there was a rush that came after us so I understand the confusion, but they got my order wrong. Fortunately they fixed it right away and the food waa AMAZING, I really love that sandwich! It was a perfect lunch right before we went kayaking. : I packed half the sandwich for later and then
