We were absolutely shocked extremely disappointed by how horrible the pick up order of our meals were yesterday. Whatever happened to the quality, delicious food Polish Village used to have??? The chicken noodle soup was okay it stops there. The cream of mushroom soup was very bland seemed to be made with canned mushrooms. The sweet cucumbers had sour cream as thick as mayo no taste. We ordered paid 8 potato pancakes. We only got 4 did get reimbursed. However they were limp, the grease in thecontainer was orangish red.The pancakes were very peppy like they put hot sauce in them yuck. The mashed potatoes were hard, just like boiled potatoes in a big hard clump. You had to look for the gravy, and it had a muddy appearance. The breaded pork chops were NOT at all like they used to be. They were tough bland. The meatballs were also peppery tasting. The orange sauerkraut also was not the quality the kraut used to be. Also, a huge problem, their styrofoam boxes are so flimsy not wrapped in saran wrap to hold them together. The boxes were breaking from tge wait of the food the beans, meatballs, gravy porkchops were falling out into the bag. There is NO excuse for that to happen. We have gone there for years until the past year highly raved about it. Now, we honestly don't know that we ever want to waste our money there again. Wheelchair accessibility: The main restaurant is in the basement level. The stairs are horrible. The restaurant is neither wheelchair or walker friendly at all. The banquet center is a steep climb up many stairs. There is a patio area, but of course it is NOT always open. I have no idea how it is accessed
Potato pancakes were tasty. The garlic chicken was pretty good but not as garlicky as I hoped it would be.
This was a great experience. An authentic, friendly restaurant in a neighborhood off the beaten path. Well worth the couple extra minutes of time. It is a downstairs restaurant, so wheelchair accessibility is questionable. They do have a street level patio, but it was not open when we were there. However, we loved the atmosphere downstairs. Our waitress treated us like family. Not just friendly, but familiar. Service was amazing and the food exceptional. Lots of locals frequenting this establishment. That says something by itself. The kielbasa and the mushroom soups were so good we took a quart of each to go!
Great food ordered over a 3 hundred dollar fo a party today. Very impressed they got everything right also food was great. Would highly recommend them for a party.
