Bidra med feedbackI ate here with my family after I came to the city for weeks. the food was ok, but the bbq was overpriced and the portions were not good for what they paid. the atmosphere and the service were great and overall it was an ok place to eat.
The service was absolutely terrible with the server we had. we were never checked. we had to fly another girl to help us more than once. eating is okay. the kartoffelsalat is wonderful and I am picky about it, but I used to live in Texas and that is not everywhere near texas cue. I have never ripped baby back and better yet really small ribs on every texas bbq place I was at and I was to many top reviews. I paid $30 for this record.
Last night I brought my wife and I to the south after hampton to a restaurant we had never seen before. I had heard some good things about this place, so I decided that it was high time to pay them a visit. Welcome to shane’s Tex-Mex B•B•Q is located at 61 high st hampton. at the arrival we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. despite the cool temperature we chose the outside seat, and I am so glad that we did. shane’s has the most unique and fun seat in the free one I have ever seen (pics 1-6). we said we had our seats. When we set ourselves, we got our menus. we asked for the acceptance of dogs outside, and we gave them up. I went back to the car and got it. a few minutes later this greeted us as our server. After we looked over the menu, we decided to start with the teufelseiern(shameful, I got no picture. I know I'm a Dundah head? I ordered a design ipa and my wife ordered a clean water with lemon. too much with my head on a twist, all in. the eggs were perfect. they were prepared as they would expect, but slightly smoked and covered with a sliced pitch and sprinkled with paprika. two eggs half and beautifully presented. they tasted as good as they looked. but thanks to my Dundah headphones, they will leave for their imagination. for our main course my wife ordered the pterry Burger(Pic 7. I know, but it looked so good and smells so good, she just set up before I could get a picture. this is made with pure angus ridge, American cheese, salate, tomato, grilled tweepers and an amazing sauce. my wife destroyed this burger and loved, loved every bit. for my meal I chose the Saltlick(Pic 8). Now it was a barbecue. this plate consisted of a 1/4 lb of its choice of 2 meats. I chose the rib and the beef glasses. my 2 sides included beans and pasta salad. the amazing kornbrot was delicious. the ribs were so delicate that I could suck the meat from the bone. sssooo tasty. the brisket was delicate and full of taste. everything was just fantastic. if they have never been, they must experience this place. Live music, great atmosphere and a killer seat in the open, makes for an amazing evening. the service of jesse was fantastic and everyone was so inviting. up!
They enjoy large rib parts (dry smoked) with good side dishes. the service was friendly and helpful in explaining various choices. bare choices are limited; none of our 2 first choices were not available. there are other menu choices so go, even if ribs are not their ding, the decor is basic, but probably suitable for a rib restaurant. limited parking spaces.
It always seems like a good idea; the inside looks like a fun classic dive bar, outside is great and looks like Wynwood walls in Miami.. but the FOOD IS TERRIBLE AND SO IS THE SERVICE. The service here is not good, though, and food equally bad. Pulled pork is usually morally and has large barely cooked globs of undercooked fat. They have no idea what pastors tacos or meat is... the brisket is tender but doesn't have the dense smoke/crisp layer with char and rendered fat that is characteristic of good smoked meat... Burgers are okay, but nothing is that Smokey, and seems like every possible careless shortcut is taken. . Got the salad and it was supposed to have smoked cherry tomatoes, pulled chicken and avocado on it... we'll, they did t have the smoked cherry tomatoes and did t bother to tell me until after I asked when it arrives, and argued that it wasn't even On the menu; I pointed out that it was... they just shrugged and said they didn't have it. The avocado was crappy prepackaged grocery store /lunchables style guacamole, and the chicken was not smoky, but lightly tossed in a sweet bbq sauce. It was lettuce with bad chicken in it and I would expect higher quality from Wendy's let alone an overpriced bbq place that claims to be Austin/ Texas style. They are slow to bring things out, food is cold; the waiters wait and wait to bring it over. They don't give information about the food- and we're inexplicably huffy when I asked what drinks were available with the kids menu... she didn't even realize it was on there... there's more, but it was just very unpleasant overall. I've been here 4 times and never recieved a correct order... one of the waitresses was very kind about it, and was helpful when we were there in March... but I'm done with his place now... all four/five service people working seemed not to know what they were doing. It was adequately staffed, bur just incompetent.
