Bidra med feedbackI have visited this place twice to grab drinks while waiting for my train.
This restaurant reminds me of a trendy cafe straight out of the 1960s. I could have sworn I saw furniture here that looked like it came from my parents' living room.
fellow diner, "even the air smells artisanal". Located in a gentrified neighborhood, the menu featured an array of avocado toast variations, cold brew coffee, and organic kale salads. The decor was a mix of mismatched vintage furniture and trendy succulent plants. Despite the pretentious atmosphere, the food was surprisingly delicious and the service was friendly. Overall, a solid choice for a hipster foodie looking for a spot that embodies the essence of cool.
Big breakfast was just an uninspired mound of food, plopped on the plate. No herbs, no garnish, just something you'd slap up at home on a Sunday. Such catty waitresses too. Lovely to customers faces but really loud, mean & insulting conversations being had behind the counter "have you seen her butt when she walks in here, it's like it doesn't hold its shape", "does she think that looks attractive" etc. Good coffee but a mug is served in a cup, boo.
Service is known to be tricky here, very hit and miss. But coffee is usually good so I tried to get lunch there today but at 1.50 was told sorry kitchen just closed. Surprise because it wasn't even 2 we questioned what time do you close. The waitress said 2 so silly me said it's not yet 2pm and the waitress returned with 'oh well take a seat and good luck!'...We just walked out! There are to many decent places in and around Newcastle to get good food and coffee, keep away from this place and spend your money elsewhere.
