The Powerhouse - Hamilton

I was very disappointed at our recent visit here for dinner. The food was not just overpriced, but was terrible. We were a big group with a reservation and somehow they forgot about the reservation and we were placed in a very confined space that... wanted to be hard to navigate for the one waitress we all served. The food was overcooked and some had to be returned to the kitchen. It is regrettable that the location and the building are so beautiful.

I don't know where to start. The food is not good. The prices are for what you get. I went to the Attic Pizzasalon, but it closed its seat in the restaurant, which is very disappointing. That's right on the street, so I went there. The powerhouse should change its name to the ghost house because nobody goes there. Right. Don't eat here unless you want one of the worst meals you've ever had. Go home and make strength dinner because it will be better.

We moved to the area of Toronto about a year ago, and were thrilled to find the huge terrace and great menu at The Powerhouse only on the street of us! The historic building is beautiful, and the staff is always friendly and efficient....We had high hopes that we found our new locals! Unfortunately, the experience of moderate food is spoiled at very high-quality prices. I guess I don't expect to pay downtown Toronto, upscale gastroub prices for very average pub tariff one hour outside the city. You can’t even get away with just snacking on apps because the prices for apps are quite similar to Entrees. We really liked the situation, the atmosphere and the staff, and so we went on to try new dishes every time. We realized that the prices were probably somewhat inflated due to the lower pandemic traffic, and we were determined to find something that worked for us! But after we had tried about half the menu and never felt we had got what we had for the price point, we felt demotivated. Last time we came back and discovered that they had reduced the size of the burgers to a not entirely slider, but definitely not a full-size burger, at the same price as before... we decided to try. If the food is either reasonable price or much better quality it would be a wonderful place. But unfortunately. However, they do an excellent job to present the food on the plate! It always looks fantastic when it comes to the table! It's all really from there. And I'm not saying that food is BAD. It is perfect to use. But it is very average pub fare at VERY inflated prices. So if you have a nice place to drink Powerhouse is an excellent choice!! You have a nice selection of beers, and as I said, the building is beautiful, the terrace is massive and bright, and the staff are really great. But if you want to eat, I would strongly recommend finding another place.

I know it's Covid and everything that shouldn't change the quality of food. I ordered the wings, a pizza and the big carrots and celery. The wings looked out and lubricated as if they were sitting under a heating lamp for hours. It... pushed me from Hühnchen-Jerky. The pizza was so over cooked that you could only eat the middle part, forget to eat the crust and the carrots and celery I ordered were actually slim and soft. I also received a small package of carrots and celery (each 4 pieces) instead of the great order. I called and they brought out more like I said slim and soft. I'm not coming back!

Grabbed garden salad on way home. This is what it looked like...stupid me for not checking b4 I left. One half grape tomatoe, wilted lettuce and stringy weeds. And NO dressing on tye side. Needless to say Im pissed!!! you cant even make a salad?...I sure as jell wont be going back
