Black Forest Inn - Hamilton

My man and I celebrate our 43th anniversary and we have ordered ourselves from the website from the black forest. it led us to door dash. I ordered and said it was accepted. then it said there was a problem, so I contacted the restaurant directly. they told me that the command was received and he left my order back. 30 minutes after we had requested our dinner, we had nothing. we contacted the restaurant again and said it had been delivered. it was a completely different dinner from what I had ordered. we explained the situation and the restaurant took zero responsibility and said it was from their hands. we have been customers for years and I will never buy from them again. many thanks to black forest for a jubiläum. their customer service is regrettable.

There was a time when this was the best in hamilton. I am sure the original owners regret to leave this business to an idiot. paul is determined to turn this into a thing of pastness. what a shame he ruined a legendary restaurant.

Went there with my wife and granddaughter tonight. Have been there previously and enjoyed it. Tonight was a different story. We ordered a breaded schnitzel and they came out unbreaded. Mistakes happen. We had to flag down another server to go find ours. She was...no where. Finally she came over and asked what was wrong. Did not apologize but said she would get us new ones. We waited a half an hour before it came out. The place wasn’t busy. Meanwhile our ten year old granddaughter had finished hers and was ready to leave. Once the new meals came they were terrible. Overcooked and over salted. This is unusual bc this place was great before. At no time did our server or manager come over to see how our meal was Left server 5.00 tip. Maybe she will get the hint It’s really ashame

We have eaten at the Black Forest Inn many times several years ago, but this week as we attempted to go there we discovered that the hours posted on their website are not correct. I contacted the restaurant and they said the person who handles...their website is on vacation! My advice, if you want to eat there, phone ahead to be sure they are open.

The food is both good and plentiful. If you're a light eater, you're going to want to share a plate or bring a large purse for the leftovers. The staff is a joy, and they care about both the staff and the customers. They are...still as of 22-03-20 checking vaccine certificates so it's a place you don't have to be scared to bring your parents and grandparents. Every meal here is a joy.
