Amadeus is one of my favorite resturants. the location is top! the services are very nice - the price is right. I can recommend the amadeus to anyone, a visit is worth it! I like to eat the pizzas there as they do not swim like other restaurants in fat :d
Tasty pizza, cozy atmosphere, 1a location and in summer you can even sit outside. the hammer are the great salads. I have rarely seen such a large selection of salads and as lunchtime all taste – whether with freshly grilled steak strips, scampi spikes or ..., only 5.50 euros.
The restaurant “Amadeus” in the middle of the old town in buxtehude in the long road, was formerly “The Citizenship” the 1548 of the respected Mayor and humanist dr. martin moller gest. In 1583, at that time the market place was built. it is a building with a massive walled ground floor with gothic portal in the lüneburger construction style. with its beautiful ambiente, it's one of my favorite locals. the rich food card offers pizza, fish, meat and vegetarian dishes from the stone oven, which was built according to old tradion. a daily changing lunch table, as well as a weekly menu complete the offer here. A trained and always very friendly staff, serves the guests who always like to return to the “Amadeus”, a table order is advisable, as it is always very full at the meal times, here everything is true.
We were in buxtehude and had been hungry. by chance we were just standing in front of amadeus and we decided to go in. I know the amadeus from my time when I lived in jork. I didn't think it was a good time to eat it, but it was over 3 years ago, so it was time to get a new impression. the amadeus is located directly in the center of buxtehude in the old civic house. the ambiente is simply beautiful, these old cover and walls I find just great. the tables are without table ceilings. the menus are already ready for the tables. the noise level from the kitchen is very high, I have heard much noise from the area, although we sat far enough away. the music is very colorful mixed and somehow doesn't fit at all. the other guests come from all areas of the company, from young to old and from simple family to businessmen everything is represented. when we came in at 15.00 a.m. the amadeus was very well filled, so we went into the, as we thought, “receiver area” to ask for a table for 2. 5 officials were present and they felt deliberately disregarded, because it was held nice private smalltalk. when 3 of us were coughing past, we were finally perceived and we asked for a table for 2. We were shown with an wink in a direction that there are still places free or would be free. friendliness is different. So we went to the search for a free table and became very fast. as the menus were available on the tables, we could already study them. there was also a current page with daily changing lunch table and washing menus. according to the menu I could not judge which country this restaurant would be assigned. is it an italian due to the many pizzas and pasta dishes? a small eye view later came also an operation and took up the beverage order. during the short waiting period we then looked for our food and ordered them as our drinks. the drinks were well tempered. we had ordered to eat: rumpsteak 250g – rumpsteak with bratkartoffeln and roasted the rumpsteak was tough and from the too soon seasoned pfeffer simply too bitter. the bratkartoffelns were as if they were only warmed up, and I think they were too fat. medium was ordered, which was also just achieved. rib eye steak 230g – rib eye steak with baked potatoe and röstbrot so I have not yet been served rib eye steak yet. there were 2 thin discs that looked more like hüftsteak. of the eye was nothing to see. the baked potatoe was tastefully okay. one could have used a more beautiful kartoffel for it, the externally recognizable mosquitoes on the kartoffel naturally went further inside and visually do not make a beautiful impression. there was a fresh salad for both steaks. the ingredients were fresh, only the salads were drowned in the dressing. not everyone is fan of dressings, because here too the tastes are too different. you could have asked before when dressing is desired which then. the service is moderate to average. the waiting times at our table were completely in order, but the attention is absolutely not good. it is desired to have a good appetit, but it was already. other guests were not observed and had to wait for a long time for order intake. Conclusion: it has confirmed what I've experienced years ago. it is a beautiful restaurant with a good central location in buxtehude. but eating and service are moderate. I cannot recommend it in any way. I don't see the price-performance ratio at all. there are enough other options to go well in the south of hamburg.
