The Maxwell's Plum - Halifax

Stopped in for drinks. Staff are so friendly, atmosphere clean and cozy pub style. Party Marty was performing with amazing tunes. Customers singing, clapping, and having a great time. So full of life!! Can't wait to return to Halifax will definitely stop in again. Thank you all for a very memorable evening Especially the 5 young men sitting at the next table having the time of their life . Definitely a happening spot no matter the age.

I apologize for not having any photos of this place. It had aa pretty neat atmosphere. Old school pub. I ordered a Virgin lime margarita which they made especially for me. I'll have to remember to ask them not to put salt on the rim. The salt is just for the tequila and if there is none... well... the salt can over whelm everything else. I also ordered the fish and chips. They weren't bad. It was an interesting crowd of people... some dudes at the bar, a touristy bunch of friends, a couple that seemed to on a date... The wait staff and bartender were lovely.

The food was good, a little disappointing, used to have so many beers to choose from. Less than standard choice now. The waitress was exceptional. Friendly and very accommodating. She loved our dogs!!!

Not very welcoming. My sister and I with our 4 children went to MP 's on Monday. Our greeting was, We 're out of the steak special, and it wasn 't said nicely. (I don 't even eat steak. Then, we were told they couldn 't seat us--that they couldn 't pull two tables together to seat our party. (They weren 't that busy. This all happened within two minutes of being in the place. We 're people of color and their response felt targeted and intentional. My family and I will not back. Ever!

Always an excellent watering hole! Didn't have the food this time, but we saw some really nice plates going past our table. Great live entertainment! And the service was outstanding even though the place was packed! Highly recommended!!
