I feel like the chicken burgers used to have gravy? Am I crazy? Now you get dry diced chicken on a steamed bunBlahThe beef burgers are okay.
We visit 'The Chick' on almost every visit to the area. The food is good and always fresh. The chicken burgers are very simple yet always enjoyable. It is always an enjoyable lunch in a nice spot.
We visited this restaurant as we are new here in Nova Scotia and because it was the oldest drive up restaurant left in North America we thought to give it a try.I have to say that the staff were awesome. Very polite, cheerful and knowledgeable. The food is another story. We ordered the 'chicken burger' with fries and when it came it was on a bun that was not even toasted. It was soggy, the chicken was dry and cut into chunks which kept falling out of the sandwich. We expected a nice 'grilled' piece of chicken. Was awful! We asked the woman taking the order if anything was frozen and she said 'no', but the fries certainly were. The sandwich was really small as well, and we walked out of there hungry. The place inside is really nice and takes nostalgically back to the 50's, but the food tasted like they made it at that time as well.2 'small' soggy chicken burgers, 2 fries and one coke, $18.45.We will not be back.
Disappointed in service and quality of food supplied.."Chickenburger" was dry an not very tasty. Most foods are out of a bag of commercially frozen products. Good milkshakes!
