China Mongo Buffet - Gummersbach

The best china restaurant in whole Germany. I travel a lot and I have visited so many China restaurants, is not compared to this restaurant. they cook best, eating is fresh. they only need to visit once and they will definitely have the same experience.

Good place to eat Chinese and try many interesting things. I like her suppe very much. recommended!

You will not be disappointed. I suggest you familarise yourself with the layout of the buffet before tucking in! Prepared fish is found with the salad bar. The choice of uncooked meats and fish are found in another chiller counter (NB on your dining table you will find numbered pegs! Take one when you want to select an uncooked dish, apply peg to the dish and hand over your selection to the chef who is located in a kiosk near to the buffet. There he/she will cook the product and have a waiter/ess bring it to your table). Then tuck into the buffet (as many times as you like). Don't forget to leave room for dessert. You'll find a large variety of prepared fruits and cold custards/sauces. The ice cream chest freezer is to the left. (nb; the only thing I didn't like was the ice cream scoop was left in water which was soiled by other people's selection of ice cream). You will also find cold sauces bbq, garlic etc next to the ice cream chest. Hence my recommendation of becoming familar with the set up before dining. I have found the best time to go is one hour after opening time.

I'd say it is ok. The variety is good, but I honestly didn't like a couple of things, a couple things were overcooked, the duck was dry for the most part and the salmon wasn't good, pieces on it were either extremely fat or dry and it tasted unseasoned. Worst was the chocolate fountain, the chocolate hadn't properly melted or something, the brown sludge was mostly oil and didn't harden on fruit. It wasn't all bad of course, most other things were alright. Maybe I hit a bad day and got unlucky, those things happen.

The food was okay, the entourage excellent the staff was nice. Buffet is not really my thing but we let them persuade us that it is better than a la carte. But as always at a buffet the food was already standing there for a while and the quality does not improve from this
