C&g Grille - Gulfport

Took my family and my son here for his 21st birthday dinner. Wait and hostess staff were friendly and gracious. When the food got there 2 orders were ice cold, well done steak was **** and my dinner was supposed to have risotto but was served over donepotatoes instead. Prices were too high not to say something so I asked for a manager. Manager argued with me telling me it wasrice not potatoes (she had no idea I have a diploma in cooking and catering and make risotto at home so I KNOW the difference).Then she snapped at me demanding to know what I expected her to do, remake or take it away? I told her I wanted the cold platesremade and mine taken off because I was too angry to eat now and asked for the bill. Bill looked like a jumbled mess whereseveral items were added, then taken off, then added back. It was pointed out to me that a discount was given but when Iadded up the original order (including mine) the total I paid ended up being what I would 've paid originally. I paid the billand left as I was too furious to argue anymore. My family was so upset it absolutely ruined my son 's birthday dinner. None ofus will EVER go back there!! Save your money. There are much tastier and friendlier places to eat at Island View.

Food is good, just wish there were more breakfast options

The salads and drinks were probably the highlight of our meal. My husband ordered the special, shrimp scampi, but after just a couple of bites, he stopped eating. It was watery, the bread tasted nearly stale, and it was clear the shrimp were frozen. I chose the seafood platter, which was disappointing as well; everything tasted the same, like old fryer grease. Given the amount we spent, we expected much better food quality, but unfortunately, we were let down. We left feeling very dissatisfied, and when we got home, my husband ended up feeling very ill. We will not be returning.

Mr. Tommie Cook was absolutely fantastic! He was incredibly kind and sweet. It's clear that he truly loves his job! I was thoroughly impressed by his exceptional service!

I had an incredible takeout experience that truly impressed me! The service was outstanding—especially thanks to the young lady who was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She provided fantastic recommendations, taking into consideration my shellfish allergy. In the end, I settled on the Grilled Salmon, and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. It was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! The side options she suggested were equally delightful. I didn’t take any photos because the food was so delicious that I just wanted to enjoy it instead of staging a photo shoot. Hats off to Island View for this remarkable transformation in every aspect! Thank you for an enjoyable experience; I cherished every minute! However, my experience earlier in 2022 was not nearly as positive. Their menu had changed dramatically, and on that visit, I was simply looking for a simple dish without meat or seafood, but I found nothing suitable. I ended up ordering the Alfredo without chicken. To say it was disappointing would be an understatement! The dish was excessively laden with cheap cheese and Alfredo sauce—it was nearly inedible. I also tried a grilled cheese, which came with a tiny slice of tomato and maybe one slice of cheese. It was overwhelmed by an excessive amount of butter on the crust. I really don’t know what’s going on with this place, but unfortunately, we won’t be returning!
