I was here for a big business dinner in guadalajara. wow. the staff was so attentive and the food was from this world. I loved the private room upstairs. a wonderful evening!
Attentive staff, wonderful appetizers, eating and crying. they were very helpful and the most important courses were great. we had steaks and the huh in a local sauce (not sure, the tellername,) but all objects were recommended by the waiters. then the desserts were even...better...a local art cream brulee and a chocolate maus style gloomy.
I was in guadalajara in a personal trip, art shopping, stayed in this hotel, enjoyed the restaurant, the look, the eating and service. the decor, very modern and urban. a wonderful restaurant in s great hotel.
Four of us ate at Deco the other evening. The restaurant is very contemporary. housing a library loft and art gallery. The service was excellent and our waiter tried hard to speak English and understand our Spanish. I found it to be a little pricey...and the portions a little small. The food is Mexican with a mediterranean flare. I ordered Fettucine with Chicken and there was about 1 1/2 cups served at 210 pesos. Expensive for pasta. The presentations were good. The watermelon, melon and feta salad with a reduced balsamic sauce was fresh and delicious. The ribeye was just ok. The restaurant is in the Demetria Hotel and it's worth the walk around to see the modish decor. I didn't find it to be Art Deco, but very interesting. Don't miss the ladies room!!
