Papania has been a Lexington business for as long as I have lived here. This has been a family owned business that started small, beginning right behind what was Bluegrass- Aspendale housing projects; then over time, has grown enough to move to their current location on Jaggie Fox Way. Long before the other food, grocery, or restaurant wholesalers and suppliers, were part of the Lexington or Central KY profile, there was Papania. If you have ever eaten at any of the older restaurants, here in Lexington, chances are you have eaten produce that came from Papania. I commend the Papania family for their business ethics; as well as, how they treat people, in general. So, if you own a small restaurant, bistro, or other eatery or know someone who does, tell them about Papania.
