Yen Ching - Grover

We had a Yen Ching here in Creve Coeur in the Dierbergs on Olive Blvd. I was absolutely in LOVE w/ their food; especially the Spicy Crispy Beef. Dierbergs has made a terrible decision to replace them with a disgusting overpriced chain: Big Bowl. I miss the Spicy Crispy Beef and I wish I could find a Yen Ching nearby.

My favorite Chinese. Although it is quite the usual suburban Chinese takeout tariff, it does better than any other place I ever had. Unlike some places that vary in quality, my experiences with Yen Ching were consistently excellent. The food is always great, always hot and fresh, and the staff is always friendly and accurate. My favorite dish, General Tso 's Chicken, is my typical order, and was always delicious, with moist, non-stringy chicken, and unlike many places, is actually spicy when I have extra spicy. Other dishes I tried were made with similar success, and the roasted rice is delicious (and does not automatically come with the onions I personally hate. For this matter, so are the crab ringoon. Absolutely highly recommended.
