Always great food and always consistent. Hand breaded chicken strips and onion rings!.

Food was amazing so was the service. The blackberry cobbler was warm and served with ice cream. I had the chicken salad sandwich with fries and it was delicious and the fries were salted and fresh. My fiancé had the quarter pound burger and fries and it was perfectly cooked and the fries were nicely salted. The server was kind and attentive. It has a great atmosphere for home style dining.

I was in a fireworks tent right by the restaurant and ate there about 5 times every time I went the staff was great it was never packed and had great food there is nothing better in Grove than Lester's diner

First off, service was super friendly and attentive. My server Karen was nice and friendly as a puppy seeking adoption. I thought to myself, her friendliness wasn’t very Karen of her. Alas, maybe she didn’t get the memo that Karens were supposed to be difficult and cranky? My guess she didn't, as she was super friendly and attentive. This is your regular hometown diner, where everyone knows your name, and you will quickly figure out who are regulars. This place isn’t fancy or elegant, but this is your typical hometown dinner, with old men drinking coffee, a landscape crew trying to eat a quick lunch, and two sisters meeting up for their weekly lunch. You will find their patrons talking with each other across the restaurant floor and the staff also intermingling in the conversations. The staff really seems to care for their guest here. This is a hometown dinner, through and through. I had a regular cheeseburger with fries. What else are you supposed to order at a local diner? This was a typical cheeseburger, nothing special, nothing horrible, it was just a cheeseburger. I will say I thought the pickles were of better quality, and so was the bread. The meat, not so much, and was just a basic burger patty. Also, they put the pickles on top of the burger patty. That was odd, as I tend to like my pickles underneath the burger patty. Yes, I am picky like that. The fries are hand cut and not too bad, a little limp, but flavorful. While I think the service was supper friendly, the food was just average.
