Bogey's Grillhouse - Grimsby

My boyfriend and I were making a trip up to Toronto and decided to stop for breakfast, found this place on google thought it could be good. We arrived to a pretty empty restaurant, except for two men sitting in a booth around the corner talking. We waited over 5 minutes for a server or manager to come but none. We even called the restaurant and no answer. Wasn't impressed considering they had been open since 6am. We left and went to another restaurant down the street. Not a good first impression.

We live the area where the Casablanca Inn and Bogey's Grillhouse is located. Over the years we've found this restaurant provides good food and great service (the servers are so relaxed and friendly that some have actually become friends) and we use it regularly for family gatherings and socializing with friends. However, Bogey's delight is their Sunday brunch which always offers a extensive selection of breakfast and lunch options, slightly different each week, with a great omelete bar, for one of the best brunch prices in the area. They also offer brunches for special holidays and for the past several years we've attended their Christmas Day Brunch, which is a culinary delight, with all the Christmas favourites, turkey and dressing, ham, prime rib, with all the trimmings, again at a price that is very reasonable. Christmas Day was our last visit and the one to which I refer in the following information.

Yummy brunch and the food is very fresh. It takes along time for the food to come but well worth the wait. Sunday brunch had a very good variety and fresh food! Will be back .

Although we were staying at the hotel next door, we walked over to The Casablanca Winery Inn and tried the restaurant on the main floor. Its called Bogey's. Did we ever luck out. Monday night is Prime Rib night. only $18.99. What a feast it was. Medium rare and served with a baked potato although I asked for mashed with gravy which our waitress, Sherri said could be done. The veggies were broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Not from a can or frozen. Fresh ! and a Yorkshire pudding as well. We also had our choice of soup or salad and had the soup, a butternut squash soup. it too was delicious . how nice is that ....

Very mediocre food.The adjacent pool allows the chlorine odour to permeate the restaurant. Service was good.
