Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Gretna

The service was a little slow. The food was hot and delicious. I had the 3 meat plate (chicken, ribs, brisket) with barbecue beans and Mac cheese. I'm back.

The food here is fantastic for the price. The ribbons were a bit tough, but their flavor was still excellent. I really enjoy the warm BBQ sauces. And to top it off, they offer free vanilla ice cream!

We visited this restaurant with a group of 20 from the Kajun Outcast Jeep Club, and at first, I was concerned because only two employees were behind the counter. However, to my surprise, two more staff members quickly stepped in to assist, and they handled our large group with incredible efficiency and precision. One employee, in particular—though I didn’t catch her name—had green-tinted hair and was clearly the driving force behind the smooth operation. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this location!

The ribs were fantastic; the meat just fell off the bone. The jalapeño beans were flavorful on their own and didn’t require any extra seasoning. The potato salad was solid as well. I truly enjoyed my meal and would definitely go back. I highly recommend it!
