Bidra med feedbackDined here for the first time this past Saturday and Gabrieles most certainly surpassed my expectations. The hostess, I think her name is Kristina, remarkably sweet girl and good natured. She went far above to accommodate the needs of my family and I and made us all feel right at home. Our waiter and the waitstaff were very prompt and friendly. The food was nothing short of excellent. I had tuna tartare to start and filet mignon for my entree, both of which were prepared flawlessly. Everything from beginning to end was 10+ stars! Gabriele’s without a doubt is one of the best restaurants in town and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better evening! We will be returning very soon. Thank you so much
Salty steak, flavorless mac ‘n cheese, unapproachable wine list
Let me start by saying that our meals were outstanding! This is the second time I 'd been to Gabrielle 's and both times the food was outstanding. I would give it another try for that reason, alone, but would qualify any recommendation to a friend because the experience was dreadful. The first time we ate at Gabrielle 's, we ate in the bar (and at the bar and the service and ambience were great--as was the food. I wish we 'd eaten in the bar last Saturday night. Not only was the sound in the main dining area deafening, but the waitstaff made errors, seemed untrained, and were frantically scurrying around--no personality, no conversation, no wit--just servers versus professional wait staff. For a restaurant with this supposed reputation, you 'd expect professional wait staff. And everyone--even the guy ordering the servers around from table to table--just seemed to be under some sort of undue pressure and table turn mentality. Not sure how to describe this, but the experience was devoid of personality or connection--like a TGIF type place. It was the first time I 'd left a minimum (20% tip in a LONG while--and we eat out a lot--both in Greenwich and Manhattan, so are not infrequent diners in high end restaurants. My advice--go on an off night and eat in the bar.
Just a pleasure once again, from service, to atmosphere to the cuisine, clearly the finest restaurant in Greenwich, CT!! My wife and I dine out, Thursday through Sunday nights after the children go to sleep, so we have been to them all, but Gabriele's really stands out!! Thank you!! Don G.
First of all, I wouldn 't call the noise level energetic . I would call it annoying. It was very hard to have a conversation. Secondly, I should have stayed with medium rare on the pork chop. The waiter recommended medium and it was very dry. The sauce helped but it was still too dry. There was a lot we liked about Gabriele 's but I probably wouldn 't go back.
