Bidra med feedbackThey are closing next month (May 2021). My experiences here have been great. The food is always as ordered, fresh, and served with a smile. I'm going to miss this place.
I hadn 't been here in years but went today for breakfast with some neighbors and enjoyed it. Of course, grits, bacon, toast and a fried egg are pretty standard fare. I prefer my fried eggs OVER WELL. And I always stress REALLY WELL incinerated make it like a Frisbee. I got my overwell this morning and MAN! It was the tenderest overwell I 've ever had and I used to be the home economist for the SC egg board! Excellent job by the line cook. Our waitress was excellent, fun, personable and she pretty much provided a never ending cup of coffee. My cup never emptied because she was so diligent in making sure we were well cared for. Plenty of good food and coffee for under $10. I think I 'll go back soon! Oh and a spacious, on site parking lot as well.
Tommy is a very nice man who visits every table and thanks everyone for coming to his restaurant. I had lunch there. It was a business lunch for us to review several documents. They made a special arrangement for our table to provide extra room. The food is cafeteria style with a wide choice of entree's and sides. I had the turkey and dressing with collards, cornbread, fried okra. It was all very good. The cornbread is on the sweet side, which is not my favorite way of preparation, but still good. The service was attentive and quick. The restaurant was perfect for low noise levels. We decided our monthly meeting needs to be here from now on. I understand breakfast is their specialty, so I will have to visit and try breakfast soon.
Turtle class. This place is got it going on and I had to raise them from a four star to a five star review! The food is awesome the ingredients are real including the fresh ground Celtic sea salt, pepper grinder, real butter shelled eggs. I am very pleased every time I come here found especially love their homemade sausage!
Tommy's is a unique breakfast/lunch joint with a diner feel. I have eaten here on several occasions and appreciate the kindness and the speed of the wait staff. Also, it is a large restaurant which can easily accommodate groups and seat a couple hundred folks. I think there were a hundred people there yesterday mid morning. Mostly seniors and the servers remember their names. Also, Tommy welcomed us personally. I ordered the eggs over medium, grits and Pork Chops. The food was hot and plentiful. As a matter of fact, they even brought me an additional Pork Chop because one of mine looked small. The eggs were large, hot and cooked properly. The grits were plentiful, homemade and hot. The Pork Chops stole the show served with batter and fried. This is country breakfast at its best. Tommy's is competent with decent chow. The service is top rate and prices for the portions are exceptional. Four-Star chow!
