Bidra med feedbackAs an employee at Nebraska Medicine, I've frequented this Subway many times, but yesterday was the first time I felt compelled to speak up. Most employees are chatty, which is fine, but we typically have limited break time—sometimes just 30 minutes—so we rush to get our food. However, yesterday, the employee took a long time to start making my sandwich because he wanted to chat. To make matters worse, he started flirting with me, telling me how cute I was after I placed my order. He even gave me extra meat that I hadn't requested and continued to make me feel uncomfortable. After that interaction, I was so uneasy that I didn't even want to eat; I just wanted to get away as quickly as possible.
The enticing aroma of Italian herb and cheese bread is the perfect prelude to an MRI appointment. It wafts through the hallways, while doctors spend about $300 a month on lunches since bringing food from home can be time-consuming and cold granola bars just don’t cut it. The salad prices are steep, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend the steak—it has an odd taste. Avoid the grill as well; it doesn’t serve real food. A much better choice is the mac and cheese at Nebraska Café, if it’s available, of course. They really load up your sandwich if you ask for everything, but be prepared to dig in with a fork. It’s top-notch stuff—the dude really knows how to deliver!
Not open 24 hours! I recognize that times have changed since COVID, and finding staff is challenging. I get it, but please update your website to reflect your actual hours instead of listing 24 hours. It would save night shift workers a trip across town at 3 AM!
On top of that, the portions of meat and toppings were quite poor. For those who think this Subway is amazing, you might want to reconsider your cooking skills. I reached out to the District Manager about a refund and was instructed to send in my receipts, but the response I received was from a blocked, no-reply email. Honestly, this place really needs to improve.
The Subway located within UNMC is quite disappointing. The staff behind the counter were openly expressing their dissatisfaction with their jobs and had a very negative attitude. To add to the experience, my son's sandwich had a long hair in it. I won’t be returning there!
