Seaside Fish Chips - Grantville

Hubby and I have been going here for years and always get beautiful fish and chips. Went here yesterday and got the fishermans basket, although they were out of flake, the customer service lady said she would have enough to do some extra fish bites on top of the seafood basket. The fish bites were smaller than a chicken nugget, she left out the calamari and only put 1 scallop in which was disgusting and no bigger than a 20c piece. We were the only customers so it wasn't as if she was too busy to get it right. Have otherwise always had 5 star fish and chips from here and love this place. It just felt really intentional as it wasn't until I checked the packet that she called me back in and told me she had forgotten a few things... Will adjust my review if we go back and get 5 star again!

I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant! I enjoyed a delicious piece of Barramundi. The staff was very accommodating; the lady even repackaged the fish to make it easier for me to eat in the car. She also brought out extra lemon to go with the fish!

Our late-night stop here on the way home yesterday turned out to be surprisingly fantastic. My husband initially just wanted a souvlaki but ended up trying a variety of other items too. We had some chips, a pineapple fritter, scallops, chicken nuggets, and a potato cake. Everything was cooked really well and tasted delicious. I didn't encounter anything that was oily, soggy, or overly salty. Even though I wasn't particularly hungry, I thoroughly enjoyed the food! As someone who usually eats healthily and tends to shy away from this type of cuisine, I can confidently say that I'll be coming back for more in the future! My husband also loved the souvlaki and mentioned that the bread was nice and crispy, and everything was prepared in a timely manner. Additionally, I have to note that it was quite affordable, and the portion of chips was generous—definitely not stingy at all.
